Pain is our body's cry for help

We would never think of driving a car with flashing warning signs, we’d immediately take it to a mechanic and get it fixed.

Pain is like a warning sign in our body. If we ignore the initial warning signs, it may develop more complications later. But too often we rely on painkillers that mute the body’s cry for help.

My client (a tennis player) ignored initial signs of injury and continued playing, leading to a tear in a ligament. Unaware of the extent of his injury he continued playing and taking painkillers.

Initially, the tear could have been avoided or easily stitched up but by the time he sought medical help, it was too large to stitch. He was advised a complete hip replacement at the mere age of 42 years.

He came to me three weeks before the scheduled operation. His pain level was a 9 out of 10 (10 being unbearable). That was almost 8 months ago.

Thanks to Bowen therapy, his pain levels reduced to mild, occasional pain and he is still managing without the operation.
